@appliedvisonbaseball
Hitting a baseball consistently is hard.
We make it a little easier.
The Applied Vision Baseball Pitch Recognition app is a platform made by ballplayers and backed by science.
THE MISSION
Applied Vision Baseball set out to revolutionize how hitters train, bringing live, game-like at-bats straight to your laptop, phone, desktop, or VR headset.
The mission? Simple but powerful: help players rehearse success, learn from failure, and build unshakeable confidence.
In a sport defined by failure, staying confident when you’re not getting results is every hitter’s #1 job.
You get about 400 milliseconds to read the spin, speed, and location of a pitch and put a quality swing on where you think the ball will be at contact.
Hitting is hard.
But baseball is a game—and games are meant to be played.
When we’re having fun, we play our best.
Vision. Having fun. These are skills that can be taught and trained.
On any device.
Applied Vision Baseball trains hitters to recognize pitch types, develop plate discipline, and sharpen timing.
Vision is about intent. It’s about competing.
So when you step up to the plate, you know you have what it takes to beat the pitcher.
Hitting consistently isn’t easy.
We make it a little easier.
Vision training, designed to sharpen timing and pitch selection—so you can own the box.
WINNING THE
AT-BAT
When pressure, tension & anxiety takes away from your performance, it’s no fun. Your bat feels slower. You second guess your abilities, and your instincts feel off because the game seems to speed up.
You’re not alone. It happens to every player on the planet. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Fortunately. There are ways to transcend the tension & anxiety to allow your natural athletic abilities to come through.
It starts with having an attainable goal to Win The At-Bat.
WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Our standout feature? We’re the first platform to bring live at-bat simulations with 3D technology straight to your phone.
The Applied Vision Baseball App turns pitch recognition training into a fun, interactive experience—so hitters actually feel the benefits right away.
These drills are built to train baseball vision beyond just good eyesight. We’re talking pitch-path anticipation, visual tracking, dilation speed, pitch-sequence recall, and more—tools every hitter needs in their toolbox.
We’ve angled cameras on the field and added visual markers to pitch sequences to recreate a true hitter’s point of view. This helps hitters sharpen their ability to pick up spin, speed, and location right in the app.
Using cinema cameras, GoPro VR 360, and the latest iPhones, we capture pitches in stunning clarity with high-speed frame rates—perfect for slow-motion drills. All footage streams in 1080 and 4K HD.
Plus, you can track your consecutive login streaks, measure your pitch recognition accuracy, and compete with hitters worldwide on our leaderboard.
OUR TECH
Pitch Recognition Test UI
We brought together a small team of talented developers to collaborate on an elegant solution to a fun challenge.
Allowing hitters to simulate live at-bat, at game-speed while developing one of the most important skill-sets a hitter can have. Pitch Recognition.
With this tool, the user can see actual footage of top-level pitchers, with types of pitch recognition drills to help them develop each pitch recognition skill separately.
Pitch Recognition Test UX
Once the hitter logs in, they'll receive immediate access to pitchers with various pitch recognition difficulty levels and focuses such as pitch sequence recall, the occlusion method, pitch-track anticipation, and soft vs hard focus transitioning.
After each drill is completed, the user is provided with a score and feedback on how to further develop their pitch recognition based on current performance.
