Own the at-bat.
The numbers don’t lie.
Statistically, the deeper in the count you go, the tougher it is to win the at-bat, especially against elite pitching.
This doesn’t mean you become afraid to hit in deep waters. A good two-strike approach is everything.
More importantly - being selectively aggressive is step one to getting a good pitch to hit, but there’s a big difference between protecting the plate with 0-2 and foaming at the mouth in a 2-0 situation.
Bottom line, good hitters don’t miss good pitches to hit early in the count.
If the pitcher makes a mistake, make em pay.
Own the at-bat to win the at-bat.
Believe it.
