What is The
Power Position?

Hitting With Intent & Attacking The Inner Half of The Ball.

Getting our hands inside the ball, with the bat head on the plane of the pitch as early as possible and for as long as possible, while being balanced at point of contact is the Power Position.

I believe the number one mechanical-hitting-skill for young hitters is attacking the inner half of the baseball consistently.

We have to learn how to be a good hitters first. Power comes later.

One thing all elite hitters have in common is the ability to:

Drive the ball to all parts of the field with consistency.

Turn on the inside Fastball by staying inside the ball to keep it fair.

Drive the ball up the middle with power, authority and control of the bat-head.

V-Swings

With the V-Swing, you will learn how to develop a controlled-aggressive swing that drives the ball with authority to all parts of the field.

This is the art of taking Hell-Hacks while in the batter's box. When you master the Power Position, it will be just another tool in your tool-box!

Why is the V-Swing shaped that way?

The V-SWing has an angled barrel at .140 and .160 degrees to reinforce the proper sequencing of swinging the barrel through the zone. Because of our angled barrel, the is less room for error in having the knob initiate the swing before the wrist turn.

This is a crucial movement in achieving backspin which plays a giant role in hard contact percentage, exit velocity, and overall bat speed.

Why is achieving a Power Position Important?

When we stay inside the ball, attacking the inner half of the pitch while staying balanced at point-of-contact, we are in the most optimal position a hitter can be when making contact with a pitch.

If hitting is about timing, our job as hitters is to be on time on every, single pitch. When we're on time, and in our power position, the chances of making consistent, hard contact is huge!

Which Model should I start with?

If you're an experienced hitter, we suggest you go ahead and begin with the model .160-degree V-Swing.

This is the most advanced model however, we also encourage you to train with the Mini .170-Degree V-Swing as well to get your one-handed work in.

For our younger or intermediate hitters, the Mini V-Swing is a great place to start as well as our .160-degree V-Swing Model. This model will help with introducing the concept of the Power Position and staying inside the ball during various batting drills.

With that said, if you're a true Student of The Game, you will benefit from having all three models to train with during your various hitting drills in the batting cage!

What is the bat made out of?

We use high-quality dense Maple for our V-Swings. Maple bats are known to be the hardest wood on the market so it was a no-brainer for us when deciding on what type of wood to use.

How long before I see improvement?

You will see immediate feedback if you're struggling to stay inside the ball. Once you understand the concept and can consistently make hard contact with the V-Swing, you will see how the adjustment translates to your normal bat.
